Q-close PDS Absorbable Polydioxanone Surgical Sutures are intended for soft tissue approximation where extended wound support and predictable absorption are required. Manufactured from monofilament polydioxanone, these sutures provide smooth tissue passage, low tissue drag, and consistent handling characteristics.

The monofilament construction minimises tissue trauma and inflammatory response, supporting accurate placement and reliable performance across a wide range of surgical procedures. The violet colour enhances visibility within the surgical field, aiding identification and suture management during use.

This variant is supplied in USP 2-0 with a length of 75 cm and is fitted with a single 1/2 circle tapercut 26 mm needle. Tapercut needles combine a cutting tip with a taper body, enabling effective penetration through firmer tissue while maintaining controlled passage and reducing unnecessary tissue trauma.

Sutures are presented in racetrack packaging, designed to promote smooth suture release, reduced memory, and efficient handling during clinical use. Q-close PDS polydioxanone sutures provide extended absorption with tensile strength retention suitable for longer-term wound support, typically up to 42 days.
