Stainless steel sutures offer excellent resistance to corrosion and maintain consistent performance under high tension, making them suitable for orthopaedic, sternum closure, tendon repair, and other high-load tissue approximation applications.

This variant is supplied in USP 1 and consists of four 45 cm strands, fitted with a single 1/2 circle tapercut heavy 40 mm needle. Tapercut needles combine controlled penetration with cutting efficiency, supporting reliable placement in dense or fibrous tissue while minimising excessive trauma.

Q-close stainless steel sutures are non-absorbable and intended for permanent tissue support where maximum strength is required. Supplied sterile in straight packs, boxed in quantities of 12 for professional clinical use.
