This variant is supplied in USP 0 with an extended 75 cm suture length and is fitted with a 1/2 circle tapercut heavy wire 40 mm needle. Tapercut needle geometry combines a tapered body with a cutting tip, allowing smooth tissue entry followed by effective penetration while minimising trauma. The large 40 mm needle size is ideal for deeper operative fields and thicker tissue structures, while the 1/2 circle curvature delivers balanced rotation and precise control.

Manufactured from undyed braided polyglactin 910, Q-close SYNTH sutures ensure smooth handling, secure knot tying, and dependable tensile strength without added colour contrast.
