Reuters — Italian regulator decision
Reuters reported in March 2026 that Italy's competition regulator imposed a €4 million fine on Trustpilot. Trustpilot disputes the regulator's findings and has stated that it is appealing.

Astflick Group Ltd and Chameleon Scrubs strongly dispute allegations concerning review activity associated with our business. We believe our customers have a right to hear our position, understand the questions we have asked, and examine the wider source material for themselves.
Trustpilot has placed a prominent warning on the Chameleon Scrubs profile stating that it has removed a number of fake reviews for the company. We strongly dispute any implication that Chameleon Scrubs or Astflick Group Ltd created, purchased or commissioned fake reviews.
Identifying activity as suspicious is one thing. Establishing that Chameleon Scrubs or Astflick Group Ltd created, purchased, commissioned or authorised that activity is another. We have asked Trustpilot to provide sufficient evidence establishing that connection.
Chameleon Scrubs has previously contacted Trustpilot regarding reviews appearing on our profile which we did not recognise.
We did not simply accept questionable reviews because they may have been favourable. We raised concerns with Trustpilot.
We do not want fabricated positive reviews any more than we want fabricated negative reviews.
We want genuine customers expressing genuine opinions about their actual experience with our business.
Trustpilot is not our website. We cannot control who creates an account, their location, their device, their internet connection, what other businesses they review, or whether Trustpilot's detection systems later consider their activity unusual.
An unknown individual can submit something concerning Chameleon Scrubs without our prior knowledge or involvement.
Therefore, the fact that Trustpilot considers particular activity suspicious does not, by itself, establish who caused that activity.
If Trustpilot alleges that our company was responsible, we believe it should be able to provide sufficient evidence connecting that activity to Chameleon Scrubs or Astflick Group Ltd.
We do not expect every customer to give Chameleon Scrubs five stars. Like every business, sometimes we get things wrong.
Customers are entitled to criticise us. A genuine one-star review is just as legitimate as a genuine five-star review.
Our dispute is not about suppressing criticism. It concerns the attribution of alleged review manipulation to our company and our request for evidence supporting that allegation.
We looked beyond our own dispute and found considerable public discussion concerning Trustpilot's moderation and review-detection processes. The material below includes regulatory reporting, independent analysis, forum discussions and individual user experiences.

We therefore believe it is entirely reasonable that our customers are also able to understand that we categorically dispute the allegations and have requested evidence supporting them.
We have asked Trustpilot to identify the activity concerned, explain precisely what it alleges our company did, and provide sufficient evidence connecting that alleged activity to Chameleon Scrubs or Astflick Group Ltd.
If credible evidence demonstrates wrongdoing by somebody acting for our business, we will investigate it. What we will not do is accept an allegation of deliberate corporate misconduct without challenging the evidence upon which that allegation is based.
Chameleon Scrubs does not use Trustpilot TrustBoxes or Trustpilot brand marks on our website and has no intention of doing so.
Trustpilot is an independent third-party review platform. Astflick Group Ltd and Chameleon Scrubs are not affiliated with, partnered with or endorsed by Trustpilot.
Customers should likewise not interpret the existence of a Trustpilot profile concerning our business as an endorsement of Trustpilot by Astflick Group Ltd.
